Projekta mērķi:

  1. Sekmēt iekļaujošās izglītības vērtību un principu īstenošanu partnerskolās caur   svešvalodu mācīšanos un starptautisko komandu saliedēšanos;

  • tiks izveidota saziņas platforma starp Eiropas valstīm;
  • notiks pieredzes apmaiņa, tai skaitā par veiksmīgām/jaunām/inovatīvām mācību metodēm un stratēģijām, kas nodrošinās stimulējošu mācību vidi iekļaujošās izglītības ieviešanai skolās;
  • skolotāji iepazīsies ar dažādu valstu izglītības sistēmām un veiksmes stāstiem svešvalodu mācīšanā.

The two years of cooperation with the partner schools from Portugal, Romania, Poland, Germany and Greece are over. It is a real pity that we could not carry out the activities the way they had been planned due to the pandemic. We were supposed to meet face to face in the partners’ countries with the aim to learn the partners’ languages, including the sign language (deaf students were part of the team) with the help of vocabulary games and teambuilding activities carried out by the students themselves. Unfortunately, students and teachers could travel only once. All the other camps took place online. Apart from acquiring the languages, the students learnt to cook national dishes, conducted various scientific experiments, and were exposed to art and craft activities ranging from decorating mugs and hand-made pottery to embroidering national ornaments. The young scientists enjoyed ‘fishing ice’, extracting DNA from strawberries, making the ‘lava lamp’ and ‘Fakira’s handbag’, and many more fostering their curiosity and scientific thinking.

We are happy that the students got an insight into the partners’ culture, are able to say a few words in six different languages, and got to know useful language learning techniques. We believe that taking part in this project was a crucial step to help the participants develop a positive understanding of themselves and others. The acquired methods and supportive techniques of an inclusion classroom will let them understand the needs of people with learning difficulties in the future.

Projekta nosaukums: Learning to do Business with a New Innovation Camp App

Identifikācijas Nr. 2018-1-NO01-KA201-038858

Projekta īstenošanas laiks: 01.09.2018. – 31.08.2021.

Riga State Gymnasium No.3 has been taking part in national and international school projects for many years and has become an important partner in the field of entrepreneurship education and research. The school promotes entrepreneurship competencies in many ways, with the help of different studying programmes and a wide range of school projects it participates in. Therefore, we embraced the opportunity to continue the cooperation with our long established partners from Norway, Italy and Sweden working on the new project together.

Nowadays more and more young people are interested in running their own business inspired by successful start-uppers that are changing the European innovation landscape. However, they face a lot of difficulties. The clear and easy-to-implement concept of the innovation camp used in the frame of this project was aimed to provide students with successful tools of solving business dilemmas.

To do that, the students tested the newly created innovation camp app to solve a real business problem and pitched their solutions to the board of competent and experienced businessmen. During the three innovation camps that took place face to face the participants dealt with local business issues which they had to solve in international teams whereas during the last camp the students worked in national teams tackling the global issue caused by the pandemic – a safe use of public transport.

This project facilitated learners’ autonomy, ability to take risks and responsibility, inspired them to come up with innovative ideas, as well as develop solutions to social, cultural and environmental issues.

The innovation camp app that was created and tested within the three-year long project has proven its value and has become a valuable contribution to other school programmes both all over Europe and beyond it to provide expert guidance and solid support to young entrepreneurs thus preparing them for the future challenges.
